Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: MRI Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: ARRT registered Certifications: BCLS certification obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained thereafter Must-Have: Must be Influenza vaccinated unless a Medical Exemption is provided and approved by Employee Health Description: We are currently seeking a Full-time MRI Technologist. The schedule includes three 12-hour shifts on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. Variable shifts may be required due to patient census. Staff must cover holidays by being on call and may be asked to assist as needed. Staff is responsible for the care and safety of patients while maintaining confidentiality at all times. The staff must communicate the mission and vision of the organization and develop effective working relationships with patients and colleagues. Job-specific duties include performing MRI procedures, using and building protocols, and screening patients for any contraindications. The MRI Technologist will follow safety requirements per protocols and interview patients to explain procedures while addressing their concerns. Educating patients on procedures and answering their questions is also a critical responsibility. Ensuring the safety of patients and staff involves explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and alerting staff of any dangers. The MRI Technologist must monitor patients visually and verbally at all times. Operating necessary equipment for daily duties and maintaining a clean and orderly environment are essential. Additional responsibilities include monitoring inventory and performing other related duties as necessary. Education and experience requirements include an Associate's Degree or Certificate from a two-year college, university, or certificate-based program.
