Job Title: MRI Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour and Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM; 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. License: NC or Compact license required at the time of start. Certifications: BLS, ARRT MR, ARRT R. Must-Have: Traveler Experience: Unit will not accept first-time travelers. Skills: Abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, maximum intensity projection (MIP), multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), peripheral magnetic resonance angiography, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2 weighted images, and CINE imaging. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO in the unit could possibly lead to a cancellation. The expected start date is based on the schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week and must have no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start. Final start date will be confirmed on the Tuesday prior to the start week. Unit will not accept first-time travelers. Candidates must be comfortable floating based on the job description with no restrictions or special requests. Call requirement is not applicable. Candidates may float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. No RTO is allowed during the first week of the traveler's assignment due to orientation. References from two managers or supervisors from within the past year are highly preferred at the time of submission. Travel pairs are allowed but must work on different units. Fatigue policy requires that travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row or over 60 hours in a week. Submit top 3 choices only, and acknowledge openness to other locations, units, and shifts in the submission.
