Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 15:30 Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: State Licensure required if applicable Certifications: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) from ARRT or ARMRIT required. BLS required via AHA. Must-Have: - State Licensure required if applicable - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT - BLS certification Description: The MRI Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures. They will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed. The MRI Technologist will help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The Technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues. They will participate in quality assurance and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. They are expected to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure. The incumbent must be able to provide basic MRI screening of patients and employees. They will prepare maintenance and repairs as necessary. The Technologist will adhere to and maintain the expected imaging competencies outlined by management. Behavior and communication skills must align with the organization's mission, values, and culture. Responsibilities include meeting expectations of applicable competencies and demonstrating adherence to core values. The Technologist will maintain consistency with departmental policies regarding behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability. They will promote staff growth, development, and employee engagement through collaboration with management, coworkers, and physicians. The Technologist will ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as deemed appropriate by relevant regulatory entities. They will perform examinations and procedures needed to assist in patient throughput. Flexibility is required to work other shifts and locations as needed. The Technologist will ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in the imaging system. They will troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
