Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology/Cardiology-MRI Technologist with 3+ years experience and the ability to independently start peripheral IVs for a night shift assignment at a Level III Trauma hospital.

Details

  • Inpatient and outpatient work settings performing CT scans on inpatient, ER, and outpatient patients
  • 4 rooms with average caseload of 12-24 patients per day
  • Level III Trauma Hospital with 237 beds, 59 ED treatment areas, and a substantial level of Stroke Alerts
  • Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
  • Uses Siemens and Philips CT Scanners, Epic EMR, and Fuji PACS
  • Night shift, 4x10 hours, Monday-Thursday, 19:30-6:00
  • Every other weekend required unless specified elsewhere
  • Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
  • Up to 4 on-call days (24hr period) may be assigned with 2-week prior notice

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience required
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • BLS and ARRT (R)(CT) certifications required
  • License required if applicable
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must be able to start peripheral IVs independently
  • Ability to prepare and/or administer contrast media
  • Ability to consent patients for procedures
  • Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
  • Experience with special imaging procedures including diffusion, gradient echo, MIP, MRP, and perfusion
  • Experience working in adult acute care, adult outpatient, and ER/trauma settings

Additional Information

  • Perform CT scans following facility protocols and policies on inpatient, ER, and outpatient patients
  • Start IVs and consent patients as part of routine responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of technologists, nurses, doctors, and transporters in a positive and productive environment
  • Gray scrub color required
  • Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
  • Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
