Job Description
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Operate MRI scanners and related equipment, optimizing parameters to achieve high-quality diagnostic images.
- Review and evaluate images for quality assurance and accuracy before submission to radiologists.
- Maintain accurate patient and exam documentation in the hospital’s EMR and PACS systems.
- Adhere to all radiation safety and MRI-specific safety standards (including screening protocols for ferromagnetic materials).
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic troubleshooting or maintenance as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining accreditation standards.
