Travel MRI Tech - $2,523 per week in Kenosha, WI

Job Summary (List Format) MRI Technologist (Kenosha - MRI: 3x12hr Day Shifts, Fri-Sun)

- Location & Facility:
- Kenosha, Wisconsin
- Level IV Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center
- 74-bed hospital setting

- Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour day shifts (Friday-Sunday)
- Weekend rotation required for weekend role (every weekend)
- On-call rotation (shared among 8 techs; mix of weekdays and weekends; 30-minute response time)
- Holiday coverage required (one per contract; on-call for 24 hours during holidays)
- Orientation: 1-2 shifts (NEO)

- Certifications & Requirements:
- BLS certification (required)
- ARRT-MR or ARMRIT (required)
- No state license required for MRI technologists

- Experience:
- 1-2 years MRI experience (outpatient experience accepted with strong exam mix)
- Siemens 1.5T & 3T MRI experience required
- First-time travelers accepted with significant Siemens experience

- Patient Population:
- Inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department (ED) patients
- Primarily adult patients; pediatric patients only if able to cooperate
- Exam types: 3T (prostate, abdomen, pelvis, MRCP); 1.5T (extremity, brain, spine)
- Weekend scans focus on common exams; less common exams (breast, cardiac) only if tech is comfortable

- Skills & Duties:
- Proficient in MRI principles and safety practices
- Ability to perform peripheral IV starts and IV contrast injections
- Implant screening and workup knowledge
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Willing to assist with ancillary tasks and workload sharing

- Equipment & Systems:
- Siemens Sola 1.5T and Skyra 3T MRI scanners (both required)
- Deep Resolve (AI) software for reduced scan times
- EMR: Epic; PACS: McKesson/Change Healthcare
- MRI IV pumps: wave guide tubing system

- Support Structure:
- Department Supervisor oversight
- Imaging patient assistant/transporter support (weekends)
- Typically 2 techs and 1 IPA per shift (running two scanners)
- Lead tech present M-F; weekend staff works independently
- 24/7 virtual radiologist support (communication via Teams/phone)
- Rapid response and code teams available for emergencies
