Travel MRI Tech - $2,563 per week in Columbia, SC

Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Certified Radiologic Technologist through ARRT Certifications: ARRT MR Must-Have: Experience in pediatric MRI scanning Description: MUST be trained to use the steering client for the virtual cockpit to scan for remote sites in addition to scanning at the main site. The main site will be where the virtual cockpit equipment will physically be located. If there are scans overnight at any of the smaller campuses, that will be the technologist's main priority. If there are no scans at those sites, they will assist with scanning patients at the main site. There will be no floating to other facilities. Experience with GE and Siemens equipment, 1.5T and 3T, is required. Candidate must be strong in pediatric scanning, as this role primarily focuses on pediatric patients. This position involves inpatient and outpatient MRI scans for all ages, including pediatric, neonate, stroke, and trauma patients. Must be certified as a Radiologic Technologist through ARRT. Experience with charting systems is preferred. Prior experience in children’s hospitals is preferred. Strong skills are required in abdominal, brain, cervical, chest, face/soft tissue neck, and pelvic MRIs among other specialties. Experience with specific procedures such as diffusion-weighted imaging and maximum intensity projection is beneficial. The ability to prepare and/or administer contrast media is necessary. Interdisciplinary support will be available, including IV teams and respiratory services. The daily census may vary, and the facility is equipped with three MRI rooms. The technologist will provide care for a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, and adults.
