The MRI Technologist will perform a variety of advanced magnetic resonance imaging procedures with a focus on cardiac and pediatric cardiac MRI. The role requires expertise in advanced imaging techniques, patient care for a diverse population (neonates through adults), and proficiency with GE and Siemens MRI systems. The technologist will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders, department protocols, and safety standards.
Demonstrate proficiency in Cardiac MRI (with and without contrast) and Cardiac MRI with Stress (with and without contrast).
Prepare and administer contrast media and monitor patients for reactions or complications.
Operate and maintain MRI scanners, coils, and injector systems (GE, Siemens, Bracco/Medrad).
Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.
Ensure patient safety by adhering to MRI screening protocols and isolation precautions.
Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide coverage as required.
Maintain current certifications and follow all hospital and departmental policies.
