License: Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for MRI Certification.
Certifications: AHA BLS required; MRI Certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire date.
Must-Have:
- Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty or a JRCERT accredited educational program with emphasis in a radiologic technology specialty.
- Ability to provide safe, high quality, efficient patient-centric care.
- Skill in applying principles of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team members.
- Core knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology.
Description:
Under immediate to general supervision, this entry-level position supports the delivery of specialized radiologic technology services to pediatric patient populations.
The primary purpose is to aid medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of conditions, defects, and diseases.
This role includes preparing patients for procedures and correlating clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians.
Utilizing various specialized radiologic equipment and techniques, the technologist performs diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
Post-procedure reviews ensure that all required elements are completed and documented according to department protocols and accreditation standards.
The technologist transfers images and data to archival systems, enters technical data/findings, and prepares studies for reporting.
The position requires operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, disinfecting, and other user maintenance per manufacturer instructions.
Participation in continuing education and professional development is essential to maintain competencies and improve patient care.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining calm in stressful situations.
