Travel MRI Tech - $2,644 per week in Rochester, NY

Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Pediatric MRI Tech Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8.0 Hours per Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM, with some flexibility, holidays as per unit needs Experience: Minimum of 2 years medical imaging experience License: NYS Radiologic Technologist License (must obtain prior to start if not currently held) Certifications: ARRT, BLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: Siemens scanner experience, Level 1 trauma center experience, 6 months of pediatric experience Description: We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. You must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus. Our ideal candidate knows how to operate the MRI machine efficiently. You should be able to make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure. You will coordinate with the patient's physician to ensure timely receipt of results. Must be comfortable scanning patients from neonates through age 18 and providing age-appropriate care. You should be familiar with medical terminology. Ability to stand for extended periods is required. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for tests; note that IV placement is not done here. Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality. Perform patient care tasks as needed. Adhere to all MRI safety policies and guidelines. Adjust scanning parameters to accommodate a variety of patient ages. Properly screen and prepare the patient for scanning. Identify contraindications for safe scanning. Independently determine when a scan must be stopped due to motion, and assess the need for sedation or anesthesia.
