Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Imaging Specialty: MRI Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: 2 years of MRI experience License: Active Illinois license or confirmation of application process Certifications: BLS, ARRT (MR) Must-Have: MRI certification, preferred GE experience Description: The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing routine, stroke, and trauma imaging studies. Duties include patient transport, clerical tasks, patient preparation, safety screening, and scanning. The technologist will also be required to start IVs and navigate/document in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. The department has two MRI scanners and performs an average of 25-30 scans per day. There is a radiologist available on-site during working hours. Scrubs of any color are to be worn for professionalism. Tattoos must be covered, and only earrings are permitted as body piercings. No floating or covering of other areas is required. Weekend and call rotations may apply.
