Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist requiring 3+ years of recent hospital experience, 2 years of GE equipment experience, and Level III trauma experience.

Details

• 186-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• MRI Tech unit in a Radiology/Cardiology department
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM (may vary as needed)
• At least one day of call required per week
• Charting completed in Epic
• Utilizes GE MRI equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent hospital experience required (per diem experience not included)
• Minimum 2 years of GE equipment experience required
• Level III trauma experience required
• ARRT MR certification required; ARRT R preferred
• CT state license not required, but license required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Skilled in abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI procedures
• Experience with special imaging procedures such as CINE, diffusion imaging, MIP, and MRP preferred
• Proficient in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation/administration, and peripheral IV starts
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform MRI imaging across abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
• Navy scrubs required
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious/medical exemptions only
• Maximum RTO of 7 days permitted, with willingness to add time to the end of assignment if needed
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• First-time travelers may be considered with required Level I trauma or equivalent experience
