Key Responsibilities of the MRI Technologist- Operate MRI equipment and prepare patients for procedures
- Ensure sufficient information is collected to make a diagnosis and assist in patient management
- Present images to physicians for diagnosis
- Perform intravenous therapy, contrast selection, and injection
- Prepare and enter required documentation, including informed consent
Requirements of the MRI Technologist- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program
- ARRT/NYSDOH License required
- BLS required
- Certified to perform contract injections
- Specialized training in MRI Technology and cross-sectional anatomy
