Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Supervisor/Technologist with 8+ years of experience and prior supervisory experience to lead multi-campus MRI operations while providing hands-on clinical coverage as needed.

Details

  • Multi-campus MRI program encompassing five MRI scanners across four locations and approximately 30 FTEs
  • MRI services operate with staffing coverage from 5:30 AM through midnight across multiple shifts
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Will float across multiple CPMC campuses, with daily shuttle transportation available
  • Utilizes GE HealthCare MRI platforms across multiple software versions
  • Supports a broad range of routine and advanced MRI services including Neuro, Cardiac, Body, MSK, Breast, Pelvic, and Prostate MRI, MRI-guided breast biopsy, and interventional MRI procedures
  • High-volume imaging environment with diverse case types

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of MRI experience required
  • Prior supervisor or charge experience required
  • ARMRIT or ARRT(R) and ARRT(MR) certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Venipuncture skills required
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
  • Experience starting peripheral IVs
  • Radiation safety knowledge required
  • Familiarity with isolation precautions and PPE

Additional Information

  • Provide operational leadership for a multi-site MRI service while maintaining clinical scanning capability during staffing shortages, call-offs, or vacations
  • Oversee staffing coordination, scheduling, and operational planning across multiple campuses
  • Manage patient flow and optimize scanner utilization
  • Ensure MRI safety oversight and regulatory compliance
  • Coach, onboard, and manage performance of MRI staff
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nursing, anesthesia, and operational leadership
  • Lead workflow improvement initiatives and monitor quality metrics and patient experience
  • Balance supervisory duties with hands-on clinical scanning support as needed
  • Local candidates accepted at local rate
  • 50-mile radius rule applies
  • Returning staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
  • Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
  • Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
