We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join a busy outpatient Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology department. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with departmental protocols.
Responsibilities
Perform MRI imaging procedures following department protocols.
Position patients and MRI coils for optimal image quality.
Review MRI safety questionnaires before scanning.
Evaluate image quality and transmit studies to PACS.
Complete documentation in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
Educate patients regarding MRI procedures.
Maintain MRI room cleanliness, equipment, and supplies.
Follow MRI safety, infection control, and quality standards.
Assist physicians and perform related clerical duties as needed.
Requirements
Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT).
ARRT Certification required.
Strong knowledge of MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques.
2+ years of MRI experience preferred.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
