Travel MRI Technologist – Days

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend On-Call Required | Projected Start: 07/13/2026

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures while supporting patient throughput and efficient patient flow.
  • Conduct basic MRI safety screening for patients and staff, and participate in quality assurance activities and ongoing education related to MRI safety and technical advances.
  • Ensure completed exams are accurately scanned and stored in PACS; follow downtime procedures and escalate issues to the PACS administrator as needed.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance issues and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel with proper follow-up documentation.
  • Adapt patient assessment and care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific needs of each patient.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working alternate shifts or additional campus locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or an accepted equivalent program.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a high-volume hospital imaging environment.
  • Familiarity with PACS systems and image archiving workflows.
