Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients of all ages
- Verify physician orders, prep patients for exams, and explain procedures and instructions to patients as appropriate
- Perform all MRI studies and administer contrast media utilizing age-related technical and positioning protocols in accordance with department policy
- Evaluate MRI images for technical quality and assist radiologists with MR procedures as requested
- Operate and maintain MRI and associated equipment, including warm-up, calibration, and safety checks; report equipment malfunctions to supervisor
- Adhere to MRI safety standards and maintain compliance with ARRT standards
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of recent GE MRI experience (required)
- ARRT Certification (required; ARMRIT will not be considered)
- BLS Certification (required)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a high-volume or acute care imaging environment
- Familiarity with hospital computer systems and radiology information systems
