Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician
• Demonstrate understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, contrast agents, MRI safety, and medical terminology while maintaining a high degree of accuracy in positioning and technique
• Prepare and administer contrast at the direction of the radiologist in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Ensure delivery of quality care in a safe environment for infant through adult patients
• Remain sensitive to the physical, cultural, and emotional needs of patients through effective communication, patient assessment, monitoring, and care skills in a non-judgmental and nondiscriminatory manner
• Apply independent, professional, and ethical judgment along with critical thinking in the performance of duties

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program
• ARRT Registration: Registered Technologist (R)(MR) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Relevant MRI experience required
