MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of MRI Technologist experience in a hospital or clinical imaging setting
• Hands-on experience working with Siemens 1.5 scanners required
• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program resulting in a two-year certificate and/or associate degree required
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hospital-based radiology and diagnostic imaging environment

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
• Operate Siemens 1.5 MRI scanners safely and effectively
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and provide clear instructions to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Monitor patient safety throughout each exam and respond appropriately to patient needs
• Maintain accurate documentation, imaging records, and workflow logs
• Collaborate with radiologists, MRI technologists, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care
• Follow all safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards within the imaging department
