Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist position is based in Alexandria, Louisiana. The role involves performing routine and advanced magnetic resonance imaging procedures, supporting other imaging technologists as needed, and ensuring smooth patient flow. Flexibility to work various shifts and/or at different campuses is required. The technologist must demonstrate technical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and adherence to safety standards to deliver high-quality imaging services.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification from ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists); Louisiana state licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via the American Heart Association; at least 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The MRI Technologist will perform a variety of imaging procedures, participate in quality assurance activities, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and standards. Responsibilities include patient screening, preparing equipment, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting ongoing education and technical advances within their scope of licensure.
