Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, Philips and Epic proficiency, and teaching hospital background for a weekend-only, 12-hour day shift contract.

Details

  • Hospital-based imaging department at an academic teaching facility
  • 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday through Sunday each week
  • 36 hours per week
  • 4-week contract
  • No call or float requirements
  • Epic EMR is in use at this facility
  • Local candidates are accepted; pay rates are tiered based on distance from the facility (local: 50 miles or less, radius: 51–100 miles, travel: 101+ miles)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
  • ARRT or ARMRIT with MR advanced certification required
  • BLS required
  • Philips MRI scanner experience required
  • Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
  • Teaching hospital experience required
  • At least 2 professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required — 1 from within the past 6 months and 1 from within the past year of employment
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Prior travel experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers will be considered
  • This is an every-weekend position working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — no block scheduling is available
  • Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
  • Vermont licensure is not required at time of submission; New York-licensed candidates may be considered with proof of pending NY license
  • Any employment gaps of more than 90 days should be explained in your work history
  • Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type for each position listed
