Job Summary:
This position operates and prepares specialized equipment to perform magnetic imaging procedures. The MRI Technologist applies technical judgment to obtain studies of diagnostic quality according to written protocols and patient needs. Responsibilities include performing imaging procedures, positioning patients, providing patient education, ensuring safety standards, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and assisting physicians as required.

Required Qualifications:
 

• Strong background in cross-sectional anatomy, physical sciences, and MRI physics.
• Excellent technical skills and knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology.
• ARRT MRI registry certification.
• BCLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
 

• Two years of experience in MRI.
