Job Title: Travel MRI Technologist
Location: Alexandria, LA 71301
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Days | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 8-hour shifts
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures.
- Conduct MRI safety screenings for patients and staff.
- Ensure accurate image acquisition, processing, and storage in PACS.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions to management or Biomedical Engineering.
- Participate in quality assurance (QA) activities and MRI safety initiatives.
- Assist with patient flow and support other imaging technologists as needed.
- Adapt imaging techniques to meet individual patient needs.
- Maintain compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations.
- Work at other campuses or shifts as required.
- Provide excellent customer service while collaborating with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
- Louisiana State MRI/Radiologic Technologist License required.
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of PACS and MRI safety protocols.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation.
- Must be available to work every other weekend.
Preferences:
- Hospital-based MRI experience.
- Experience with PACS troubleshooting and quality assurance processes
