• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5–1:6
• Float Requirement: Float among medical-surgical and telemetry units as needed

Travel Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in medical-surgical and/or telemetry nursing
• Current Registered Nurse license or eligibility to obtain licensure before the start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or may be required based on unit needs
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients in an acute-care setting
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and time-management skills
• Comfort working independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with varied medical-surgical and telemetry diagnoses
• Monitor patients, recognize changes in condition, and respond promptly to clinical needs
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Provide central line, peripheral IV, oxygen, and isolation precaution management
• Support patients with conditions including cerebrovascular events and renal failure
• Document patient care accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rehabilitation, IV teams, rapid response teams, and other support services
• Float to designated medical-surgical and telemetry units while maintaining high standards of acute-care nursing
