Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the ED Holding unit within a fast-paced float pool. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patients located in the Emergency Department who are awaiting inpatient beds, handling varied medical/surgical adult diagnoses, and providing care for both MS/Tele cases and PCU level patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the ED Holding unit.
• Monitor and assess patients, including those requiring MS/Tele and PCU care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Social Services.
• Be prepared to float to ED and Medical-Surgical areas as needed.
• Participate in emergency response during catastrophic events and disasters.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; CPI preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS/Tele and ER holding required.
• Experience in high-acuity settings with a patient ratio of 1:6-1:7 (MS/Tele) and 1:3-1:4 (PCU).
• Travel experience is required.
