Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float – Olympia, WA 98506

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Olympia, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Patient ratios vary from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity. Float responsibilities across multiple units including ER boarded patients, telemetry, medical-surgical, and other areas as needed. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at a 325-bed short-term acute care facility
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics across multiple specialties
• May include charge nurse responsibilities on smaller units, managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general coordination
• 24 hours of orientation provided to support your transition
• Opportunity to expand clinical skills across various hospital departments

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Must have clinical experience in the United States (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 4-6 patients
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, and nasal cannula
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to float to sister facilities as needed
