Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float – Olympia, WA 98506

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Olympia, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Patient ratios vary from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity. Float assignment to meet institutional needs across multiple units including ER boarded patients, telemetry, and medical-surgical. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at a 325-bed short-term acute care facility
• Float pool position providing flexibility and variety across multiple patient populations including adults and geriatrics
• EPIC charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and respiratory services
• May include charge responsibilities on smaller units, managing staffing needs, bed flow, and coordination
• 24-hour orientation period to ensure successful onboarding
• Opportunity to work with diverse patient diagnoses and acuity levels in a dynamic healthcare environment

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience working in the United States healthcare system required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 4-6 patients
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, and nasal cannula
• Cardiac step-down experience ideal but not required
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
