Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float position requiring a PA or compact RN license and prior float/telemetry experience.

Details

• MS/Tele float position within a hospital setting
• Team nursing model with patient ratios of 1:4-1:8
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Float within scope to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• No block scheduling available

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• NIHSS, TCAR, and TCRN certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior MS/Tele or float experience with 1:4-8 ratios required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration preferred
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips preferred

Additional Information

• Provide float coverage across medical-surgical and telemetry units as needed
• Support includes interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias and use of rapid response/code teams
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO requests of 5 days or less are preferred
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Approximately 4 hours of non-billable onboarding modules required prior to start
