Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a MS/Tele Cardiac unit position in Alabama, requiring cardiac drip experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

Details

• MS/Tele Cardiac unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• 36- or 48-hour week options available
• Patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7
• Block scheduling is permitted; every other weekend (EOW) is required
• Epic EMR (preferred)
• Cardiac telemetry work setting with remote monitoring
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or active compact RN license, in good standing, currently in hand
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac drip experience required, including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips required
• Proficiency in IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and peripheral line care
• Interpretation of cardiac dysrhythmias required
• Experience in large healthcare facilities required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; highly experienced candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Candidates must provide a copy of their driver's license and Social Security card for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Pre-start modules must be completed prior to the assignment start date
• Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Former permanent staff of this facility are not eligible for travel roles until 10 years after separation
• After completing 2 consecutive contracts at this facility, travelers must take a 6-month break before returning; exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis
