Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage required for approximately half of the contract duration. Patient ratio 1:6. Float required as needed.

Highlights:

• Medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities specializing in vascular disease diagnoses
• 16-bed unit featuring 12 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms with adult patient population
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 13-week travel assignment with orientation provided
• Opportunity to work with diverse medical-surgical and telemetry overflow patient populations ranging from young adults to geriatrics

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts and maintenance, central line blood draws, wound care, PCA pumps, and medication administration including heparin and insulin
• Experience with high flow nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, feeding tube care, colostomy/ileostomy management, PICC line management, and pre/post hemodialysis management preferred
• Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
