Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
Manage a patient assignment of 5–6 patients per shift in accordance with unit staffing ratios
Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
Float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November)
Complete required facility orientation modules prior to start date

Required Qualifications

Active South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience
Current BLS certification required
Current ACLS certification required
Demonstrated telemetry competency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification preferred
Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Community hospital experience preferred
