Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring SC or compact license and telemetry experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting on the MS/Tele unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45p-7:15a)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele or telemetry nursing experience required
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• SSN and driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-based nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response
• Responsibilities include isolation precautions/PPE, respiratory care, oxygen administration, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line management
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 60 miles are considered local and will be considered at a lower pay rate; non-local candidates are prioritized
• Block scheduling approval may be requested but is not guaranteed
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
