Job Requirements

• Active Alabama RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and managing drips, including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone
• Experience in large healthcare facilities preferred
• Ability to support patient ratios up to 1:6-7
• Permanent address must be at least 90 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions only
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric med/surg telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient condition, and respond to changes in acuity
• Administer and titrate IV drips according to patient needs and facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response
• Deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality patient care in a busy inpatient environment
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and on time
• Support weekend coverage as part of the unit schedule
• Complete required pre-start modules and orientation activities
