Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinton, Maryland

Join a collaborative medical-surgical telemetry team as a Travel Registered Nurse in Clinton, MD. This 13-week Maryland travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to care for adult and geriatric patients across a float assignment while strengthening your telemetry, acute-care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and clinical assessment skills. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• End Date: February 1, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Hours per Week: 36

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or a valid compact RN license
• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience; 1 year of experience is required at minimum
• Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Successful completion of a telemetry EKG rhythm interpretation assessment with a minimum overall score of 80% and a 100% score on lethal rhythms
• Experience with Cerner or a comparable electronic medical record system
• Ability to provide two supervisory references, including one from the most recent assignment
• Seasonal influenza vaccination required
• Ability to float within the nurse’s established skills and acuity level

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in medical-surgical and telemetry settings
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Manage patients with varied medical and surgical diagnoses, including cardiac, neurologic, respiratory, renal, and post-operative conditions
• Administer medications, blood products, oxygen therapy, and treatments according to established protocols
• Provide care for peripheral and central lines, PICC lines, feeding tubes, chest tubes, surgical drains, tracheostomies, and wound vacuums as appropriate
• Support patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and telemetry monitoring
• Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, document care accurately, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Float to appropriate units within scope of practice and maintain flexibility in a dynamic patient-care environment
