Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma teaching hospital requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience with stroke patients.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with facility able to cancel up to 3 shifts during the assignment
• Weekend work required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Floating required within scope to any MS/Tele units based on facility need

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Experience caring for stroke patients required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• MS experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• ICU/ED experience preferred
• Ventilator management and conscious sedation experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• DOB, valid state license, certification copies, references, and COVID vaccination status required for consideration

Additional Information

• Level II Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Provide telemetry nursing care with focus on cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Up to 5 days of RTO permitted, with 1 approved holiday off, and RTO must be submitted prior to being offered the position
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• No specific scrub color required, but camouflage or character patterns are not permitted
