Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, Epic proficiency, and the ability to pass a mandatory EKG exam during onboarding.
Details
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Primary patient population is general medical/surgical, with additional exposure to observation, respiratory, palliative/end-of-life/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetic, and surgical patients
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Every other weekend (EOW) required; holiday coverage as needed
- Floating may be required across all system facilities
- EMR: Epic (mandatory)
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
- Must be able to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam (two attempts allowed) during onboarding
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Although posted as MS/Tele due to the EKG requirement for all RNs, the primary patient population is general medical/surgical
- All RNs must pass an EKG exam during onboarding regardless of specialty — this is a Pass/Fail requirement with two attempts allowed; study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
- Previous Charge RN experience is preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
