Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with a NC or compact license and minimum 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment featuring EOW day shifts.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Primarily Med/Surg patient population on a tele-capable unit
• Patient population includes observation, respiratory, general medical-surgical, palliative/end-of-life/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetes management, and surgical/surgical observation patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• 3x12 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
• Floating required across any Cone Health campus as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• LTAC experience preferred
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (two attempts allowed)
• Skills in respiratory care, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, wound care, and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred
• Current driver's license required to verify address

Additional Information

• Provide care across a range of diagnoses including diabetes, respiratory conditions, surgical recovery, and palliative/hospice needs
• Responsible for interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and utilizing rapid response/code teams as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travel experience is a plus but not required
• RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Third-party education verification required, with degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list not accepted
• No open background check cases permitted
