Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Schedule

This position requires 3x12-hour shifts, working from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on days. The role includes rotating weekends and holiday coverage as needed.

Job Description

This role is primarily focused on Medical Surgical (MS) patients, with EKG requirements for all RNs in this telemetry-capable unit. Travelers may be required to float across various facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions in a MS/Tele setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage care for palliative, end-of-life, and hospice patients.
• Handle patients with respiratory conditions, psychiatric observation, and surgical needs.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and patient records management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Previous charge RN experience preferred.
• Active RN license required with EKG certification to be obtained during onboarding.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Experience with telemetry and monitoring patients is essential.
• Travel experience is welcomed but not mandatory.
