GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Med Surg, Telemetry Registered Nurse in Lafayette, LA. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing essential care to patients. As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced setting.
Please ensure you are aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team" where there will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract to take a position with the facility, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event were to occur. You should not apply for a role at this facility if you are not comfortable with the above.
Holiday Availability: Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Although Halloween is not a paid holiday, some units may require traveler coverage. Holiday assignments are based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation.
This position is for a 12 bed unit, with EKG/Telemetry background preferred. Special equipment used includes Alaris Pumps. Required certifications are BLS and ACLS (for charge nurses). There are no OnCall requirements, but floating to other floors is expected to all inpatient units.
We welcome first-time travelers and those with less than 2 years of experience. Please note that there are RTO restrictions: you must work every other weekend and every other holiday. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated on this unit.
