Job Details

• Position: RN – Acute Care Rehab
• Shift: Days | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Schedule: 3×12s
• Weekend: Every 3rd weekend
• Holidays: As needed
• Experience: Minimum 1 year
• First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
• Float: Required; travelers may float between all assigned campuses as needed
• Patient Ratio: 1:6; one unit may have a 1:7 assignment on a rotating basis with comparable acuity
• Acute Care Rehab Experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with rehabilitation needs.
• Care for patients with CVA/stroke, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility.
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient condition.
• Interpret laboratory results and assist with medication reconciliation.
• Perform dressing changes and prepare aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect, label, and process specimens.
• Conduct telephone triage and handle pharmacy calls/patient refill requests.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
• Float between campuses and units within scope as needed.

Requirements & Certifications

• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• Acute Care Rehab experience preferred
• BLS required
• EPIC experience required
• No first-time travelers
• Experience with:
  • Laboratory result interpretation
  • Medication reconciliation
  • Patient history/allergies
  • Vital signs
  • Dressing changes
  • Aseptic/sterile procedures
  • Phlebotomy and specimen collection
  • Telephone triage
  • Pharmacy calls and refill requests
