Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience required
• First-time travelers welcome
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Comfort caring for adult and geriatric patients; pediatric experience is a plus
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 5-6 on nights in a mixed-acuity acute care environment

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, CVA/TIA, cardiac conditions, and post-surgical recovery
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Support patients recovering from procedures including cardiac catheterization, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and line placements
• Administer medications and therapies as ordered, including oxygen support, IV care, blood products, and protocol-based treatments
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, therapy, radiology, and other members of the healthcare team
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain unit standards for safety, quality, and compassionate patient care
