Job Details

• Location: Monroe, WI 53566 — a welcoming southwestern Wisconsin community known for its small-town charm, scenic surroundings, and relaxed pace of life.
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Healthcare Setting: 40-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with mixed acuity and low pediatric volume
• Shift: 3x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nurse contract
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Start Date: October 12, 2026

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Comfortable caring for adult medical, surgical, telemetry, and occasional pediatric patients
• Ability to work effectively in a mixed-acuity hospital environment
• Strong communication, assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult Med/Surg and telemetry patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, CVA/TIA, atrial fibrillation, NSTEMI, AKI, and bowel obstructions
• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in rhythm, cardiac status, or patient condition
• Care for med/surg and step-down patients, including select post-procedure recoveries
• Perform clinical skills such as IV management, blood product administration, wound care, respiratory support, and central line care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare partners including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams
• Document accurately in Epic and communicate clearly with the care team to support safe patient care
