Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring a MO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a 233-bed acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation)
• No on-call requirements
• Floats to another telemetry unit within the service line as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required (no issuance if tied to another compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Fire Safety certification preferred
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Must be clean-shaven or have facial hair compatible with respirator fit testing

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for Med/Surg Tele patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Navy scrub color required
• No local candidates accepted within 75 miles of the facility
• Standard travelers residing outside the 75-mile radius may work up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Permanent BJC or Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
