Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift acute care position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit in an acute care hospital with 233 staffed beds
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
• Weekend requirement of 2 shifts every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday rotation)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float to another telemetry unit within scope as needed
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS may be required depending on facility location
• Fire Safety certification preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Must be clean-shaven or have facial hair compatible with respirator fit testing

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Clerical support available on day shift only
• Navy scrub color required
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Standard travelers may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any facility within the health system as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
