We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MS/Tele Registered Nurse to join our team at a leading acute-care hospital in Charleston, WV. This position is ideal for nurses looking for a contract role in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Unit Description: The 7 South MS/Tele unit features 37 beds and serves a diverse adult patient population. Each bed is equipped for monitoring patients with varying degrees of illness, including post-op transplant patients and any adult requiring cardiac monitoring.

Shift Details: This role involves Night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM) with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Overtime is available after 48 hours for 4x12 shifts.

Orientation Schedule: Orientation is held every other week on Thursdays and Fridays. The RN will spend Thursday in a computer lab and Friday until lunch at the facility to complete badge-making and meet the staff/manager.

Patient Ratios: The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5.

Experience Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of RN experience is required, with at least 1 year of in-specialty experience. New travelers are welcome to apply.

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend is required.

Certifications Required: BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.

Float Requirements: Clinicians may be floated within their scope to meet facility needs.

Blocked Schedule Requests: The manager is open to accommodating blocked schedule requests if they align with unit needs.

Radius Requirement: A 100-mile radius rule applies (75-99 miles may require facility approval). Local candidates will not be accepted.

Pending License Accepted: Candidates can submit with a pending WV/Compact RN license.

Submission Requirements:

• Perm employees cannot return to the facility as travelers for 2 years after their last day worked in a permanent position.
• Flu Shot: Candidates refusing the flu shot without medical proof will not be considered. The facility requires all personnel to take the flu vaccine unless documented allergies exist.
• Covid Vaccine: Not required.
• One PDF must contain: Candidate profile (work history), specialty-specific skills checklist, minimum of 2 manager/charge references (within the past 2 years), license/certification verification (clean license required), driver’s license, and SSN.
