Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

  • 36-bed telemetry/surgical floor in an acute care hospital setting
  • Med/Surg Telemetry patient population including CVA, renal failure, and post-surgical cases
  • Patient ratio of 1:6
  • Telemetry monitoring performed on the unit
  • Epic EMR is required for charting
  • Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Floating may be requested based on facility needs
  • Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

  • Active VA RN license in hand or proof of a valid Compact RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)
  • ACLS certification preferred (must be AHA-issued if held)
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience within the last year required
  • SSN and a copy of driver's license required for consideration
  • One supervisory reference required for consideration

Additional Information

  • NIH and stroke education required for all RNs at this facility
  • ACLS and PALS certifications, if applicable, must be issued through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this health system as permanent employees must have been separated for at least 6 months before being eligible
  • Candidates may not simultaneously hold a travel assignment and a per diem contract with this health system — one must be chosen
  • RTO should be kept to a minimum; no full calendar weeks off are preferred, and no more than 7 total days of RTO during the assignment
  • All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; no additional RTO will be approved after an offer is extended
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
