GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.
Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse in Omaha, NE. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a diverse patient population. As a traveler, you will be among the first to float to meet the staffing needs of the facility, which includes caring for patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
The Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit is a 20-bed general unit that also accommodates orthopedic patients. You will encounter cases involving total knee and hip replacements, pulmonary issues, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses. The unit is divided across floors, with the 7th floor focusing on medical/surgical patients who may have underlying behavioral health conditions. The floor is secured, and travelers receive training in safety and de-escalation techniques.

Travelers are required to work 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. Additionally, you must work 2 out of 3 major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Requests for time off (RTO) are permitted, but must be submitted with your application.
Local candidates are not accepted; you must be more than 100 miles from the facility. Pending licenses are accepted, but if the license is not in hand at the time of submission, you will be booked six weeks out.
Scrubs are mandatory, with travelers required to wear Steele gray scrubs featuring the Nebraska Medicine logo. Information on obtaining these scrubs will be provided upon confirmation. Parking permits are available for approximately $55/month, or daily parking is available at $3 for 20 hours.
