HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 1 year recent MS/Tele RN experience
- NY RN license in hand required at submission — pending license not accepted
- BLS required
- NIHSS listed in the requirements
- Epic experience required
- Travel experience not required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must have recent experience with:
- Cardiac monitoring
- Dysrhythmia interpretation & management
- Rapid response/code team activation
- IV starts
- Phlebotomy
- Peripheral IV care
- Oxygen/non-invasive airway management
- Isolation precautions
Unit Details
- 19-bed MS/Tele unit
- Adults & geriatrics
- Night ratio: typically 6–7:1, may stretch to 8–10:1 if staffing issues occur
- Day/evening ratio: 5:1, may stretch to 6–7:1
- PCTs assist with vitals, blood glucose, EKGs and ADLs
- Travelers must float within scope
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- No call
- Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
- Scrubs: Any combination of navy and white
- Orientation: 12–16 hours listed
