Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a NICU position in Madison, WI, requiring at least one prior travel contract and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Level of care: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Rotating shift schedule with 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
  • 3x12-hour shifts per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required
  • EMR: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

  • Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NRP
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU RN experience required
  • At least 1 completed travel nursing contract required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with vasoactive medications including epinephrine, norepinephrine, and dopamine required
  • One supervisory reference required for consideration
  • Valid driver's license required for consideration
  • Must not have been employed by the facility within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates in the Madison area are accepted but at a reduced rate
  • Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
  • Time-off requests are limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday blackout periods
  • First-time travelers are not eligible for this position — at least one prior travel contract is required
