Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level III/IV Neonatal ICU position requiring 2 years NICU experience and OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Level III/IV NICU setting within a children's hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• 13-week assignment length
• Cares for neonates ranging from <24-28 weeks to >34 weeks gestation
• Manages high-acuity respiratory support including oscillators, HFNC, nitric oxide, and ventilator management
• Performs procedures such as UAC/UVC line care, arterial line management, and central line blood draws
• Required to float to PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, MS, and rarely ED as needed
• Required to float to BPD NICU population with frequent trach care and heavy parent involvement
• May float to other campuses including Riverside, St. Ann's, Grant Medical, Dublin Methodist, and Doctors Hospital
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active OH State RN license or compact license required in hand
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year Level IV NICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years total Level III/IV NICU experience required
• Experience with high-risk deliveries, therapeutic hypothermia, and neonatal abstinence syndrome
• Skilled in neonatal dosage calculations, IV therapy, and administration of blood/blood products
• Experience with respiratory conditions including RDS, meconium aspiration, and tracheostomy care
• Two supervisory references required for consideration, at least one manager/supervisor titled

• Provide comprehensive care to neonates across a range of gestational ages and acuity levels
• Support high-risk deliveries and manage complex respiratory and cardiovascular needs
• Two-part interview process, beginning with a screening interview by the Float Pool Leader followed by a possible unit manager interview
• Floating to other units and campuses is a standard expectation for this role
• Candidates cannot have been previously employed in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years
• Local candidates are not accepted within a 60-mile radius
• RTO must be submitted at time of application for consideration
